Licensed Practical Nurse — Pediatrics

Department: Nursing–Pediatric Associates

Hours: 32 hours per week with occasional Saturday rotation (mornings only on Saturdays)

Available: immediately

Job Duties:

Injections –immunizations
Triage patients and assist physician with routine patient care visits in very busy, fast-paced setting.
Chart entries in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Obtaining and documenting vitals, histories, medication administrations, etc.
Schedule appointments, obtain pre-certification/authorizations.
Patient & ancillary phone calls as directed by the physician.
May include providing I.V. care for patients according to clinic standards and certification.
Administer injections/immunizations as directed by the physician.
Assists with patient/family teaching and planning.
Prepare equipment for medical treatments, exams and surgical procedures if needed.
Maintain safe and therapeutic patient care environment; adequate stocking of exam rooms/office area.
Other duties as necessary/assigned within scope of LPN practice.

REGISTERED NURSE APPLICANTS WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Requirements:

Must have current active LPN license in Kentucky/ Registered Nurse applicants will also be considered for this position.
Previous medical office experience preferred, especially within Pediatric setting
Must be proficient with EMR
Excellent interpersonal skills with pleasant demeanor and high focus on quality patient care
Ability to multi-task in busy work environment
