Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Hours: 40 hours per week

Available: immediately

Job Duties:

Conducts day to day general maintenance tasks which involve the following:
Clearing drain blockages
Basic Electrical tasks
Basic Plumbing tasks
Assembly/installation/repair of special equipment
Minor repairs of mechanical equipment (water circulation pumps, etc.)
Basic carpentry work
Changing light bulbs
Moving furniture/equipment
Handling materials for shredding
Assisting with seasonal tasks such as ice-melt, shoveling, landscape tasks, leaf cleanup, etc.
Other duties as necessary/assigned within all GGC satellite locations

Requirements:

5+ years work experience in related field/skilled trade
Certification, degree, licensure helpful but not required
Ability to lift 100 lbs without restriction
Ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to stand for lengths of time and walk distances
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High standard of work ethic
Ability to meet deadlines and deal with climate extremes
Solid mechanical knowledge base
Maintain valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
