A 2013 report released by the Medical Group Management Association has once again identified Graves Gilbert Clinic as a “better performer” thanks to superior operational performance compared with other medical group practices nationwide.
“This community deserves and expects the highest quality medical care,” CEO Chris Thorn said. “The Clinic has always been committed to leading the way by providing premier care at the hands of very well trained, compassionate professionals, and it’s always nice to be recognized for those efforts.”
Thorn said the achievement was a group effort.
“This is a team award. No one individual or group of individuals could attain, much less maintain, this level of performance,” Thorn said. “We are grateful to each member of our team, as well as our patients, for making Graves Gilbert Clinic the premier place for care.”
The MGMA report, a benchmarking standard among medical groups for more than a decade, was produced using data from respondents to the MGMA Cost Survey: 2013 Report Based on 2012 Data, as well as data from a questionnaire that assessed management behaviors, practices and procedures of better performers.
Each year, Graves Gilbert Clinic is faced with the challenge of maintaining the highest level of patient care with a constantly expanding family of healthcare specialists. The Clinic has again met that challenge and was recognized as a “better performer” for its outstanding efforts in the areas of revenue cycle management, cost containment, productivity, capacity and staffing.
“Each year presents new opportunities and challenges for us,” Thorn said. “We are grateful for the recognition and look forward to next year.”
