The Fifth Annual Courageous Kids 6K & Backward Mile @ Chaney’s Dairy Barn

April 13, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

CCK

Run Forward. Walk Backwards. You Decide. You Will Make a Difference with Every Forward and Backward Stride You Make

The Fifth Annual Courageous Kids 6K Run & Backward Mile on April 13th at Chaney’s Dairy Barn benefits The Center for Courageous Kids. Participants have the option to run the 6K (3.72 miles) that will be professionally chip timed by Enmotive Timing or participate in the NEW Backward Mile, where participants are challenged to walk backward for one mile.

At CCK, we give campers living with serious illnesses a chance to feel normal by coming to a camp that is fully accessible to their personal needs. YOU can help make a difference by showing these campers that no matter how you do the race, anyone can make it to the finish line!

Why CCK?

All proceeds from this event will benefit The Center for Courageous Kids, a medical camp in Scottsville, Kentucky that has served over 32,000 children and families from 45 states and 10 foreign countries, many of which have come from South Central Kentucky and the surrounding areas.

Since 2008, CCK has led the charge in inspiring, empowering, and enhancing the lives of seriously ill children, and has held true to its mission and values by providing year-round camping opportunities to children and families at no cost.

Operating solely on donations, the camp relies heavily on the support from our community. The Fifth Annual Courageous Kids 6K Run &  Backward Walk will help send more children with serious illnesses and various medical conditions to camp, along with helping the camp fund programs that are not only fun, but also build a child’s self-esteem, provide education, and will impact the child’s life after they leave camp.
