Lost River Cave & Graves Gilbert Clinic Continue 2026 Health Walks

Community invited to celebrate wellness, nature, and the in-person Health Walk events

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (April 2, 2026) – Graves Gilbert Clinic and Lost River Cave are proud to announce the return of the Graves Gilbert Clinic Health Walk series for 2026, marking the third year of a growing partnership focused on building a healthier, more connected community.

In addition to anytime dawn-to-dusk individual walks, this year’s initiative will feature community group walking events hosted at Lost River Cave, each held in conjunction with some of the park’s most popular annual programs: Earth Week, Scarecrow Trail, and Snow Flurry Scurry.

The first Health Walk of the season will take place on Tuesday, April 21 at 5:30 PM as part of Lost River Cave’s Earth Week celebration. Participants will enjoy a guided walk through the park’s scenic trail system, followed by a community celebration at the Cave. New this year, the event will feature optional routes, including a half-mile trail, a one-mile trail, and a paved, stroller-friendly option.

The Earth Week Graves Gilbert Clinic Health Walk will conclude with a lively “Cave Fest,” featuring music, Lost River Cave’s Trailside Treats food truck, and community organizations offering resources and experiences that support a healthy body, a healthy mind, and a healthy environment.

“Walking is one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve overall health,” said Andria McGregor, Marketing Director for Graves Gilbert Clinic. “When you combine physical activity with time spent outdoors, the benefits multiply; from improved cardiovascular health to reduced stress and enhanced mental well-being. We’re excited to continue creating opportunities for our community to experience those benefits together.”

Spending time in nature has been shown to lower stress levels, boost mood, and improve focus, making Lost River Cave an ideal setting for this initiative. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to whole-person wellness, encouraging individuals and families to stay active while fostering meaningful connections with local healthcare providers.

“We’re thrilled to continue this partnership with Graves Gilbert Clinic and bring these in-person experiences back to the community,” said Justin Jennings, CEO of Lost River Cave. “These events are about more than just walking; they’re about connection. Connection to nature, connection to local resources, and connection to each other.”

The Graves Gilbert Clinic Health Walk series is free and open to the public. Community members of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to attend.
