
Aswathi Chandran, M.D.
Dr. Chandran completed her fellowship in Gastroenterology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston-MD Anderson Cancer Center. She did her Internal Medicine residency from John H Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Chicago, IL, and earned her medical degree from the University of Calicut, Government Medical College Thrissur, India. As a general practitioner in India, Dr. Chandran worked extensively under the aegis of the World Health Organization and the Government of Kerala in serving the rural community and managing their healthcare needs.
Dr. Chandran is active in numerous gastrointestinal medical societies and has published multiple studies on various gastrointestinal disorders. In addition to caring for general gastrointestinal and liver disorders, she has special clinical interests in inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, colon cancer screening, and irritable bowel syndrome.
She has joined the Graves Gilbert Group in July 2021 after completion of her fellowship training.
