SUMMARY:PossAbilties Expo 2022
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe PossAbilities Expo (Formerly known as the Special Needs Expo) celebrates people with disabilities and the resources in our community.  It is a chance for individuals and families with disabilities in the BRADD area (Allen\, Barren\, Butler\, Edmonson\, Hart\, Logan\, Metcalfe\, Monroe\, Simpson\, and Warren counties) and BEYOND to experience a day of fun\, excitement\, and learning. \nOur goal in hosting this event is three-fold. \nPROVIDE INFORMATION \nWith the many resources available to families\, it is possible that there are some services that families are unaware of. We want to offer an event where families can learn new things about the community and what we have to offer individuals with disabilities. We want to provide a fun atmosphere where children and families can speak face-to-face with various agencies that may be able to meet their needs. We envision an event that is characterized by cooperation\, not competition so families see that we are working together to provide the best services possible for their children. \n​ \n​ \nINSPIRE HOPE \nWe want to inspire hope for families through each phase of life by helping them see that they are not alone\, and that not only can they survive challenges facing their families\, but that they can thrive. \n​ \n​ \nEMPOWER FAMILIES \nBy providing information and inspiring hope\, we want to empower families to make the best choices for themselves and their children. We want them to be confident in their ability to plan for their future and provide the best care for their children.
